Author Shares Inspirational Story of Blind Musician
Rapid City, S.D. – February 1, 2012 – Konnie Ellis will join us at the Downtown Rapid City Public Library on Wednesday, February 15 to present at our Lunch and Learn program from noon – 1 p.m.
Konnie will discuss her book, “Rory’s Story – the Early Years,” her own life as a blind person, and have a book signing and selling at the end of the program. Her book is a biography of her brother, Rory Hoffman, who is also blind and plays a variety of instruments including saxophone, harmonica, piano, accordion and banjo. He is a Nashville studio musician and performer, as well as a two-time winner of the ICMA Musician of the Year award.
This program will be held upstairs at the downtown library located at 610 Quincy St. There is no charge to attend and all are welcome. Anyone who would like lunch must RSVP by noon on Monday, February 13 by calling 394-4171 or register online at http://www.rapidcitylibrary.org through our events calendar.
