Raptors are Taking Over the Library
Rapid City, SD – January 5, 2012 – The Rapid City Public Libraries are excited to offer an amazing No-School Discovery Day program when school is out in February.
On February 20, Maggie Engler and John Halverson, the founders of The Black Hills Raptor Center will be at both libraries. They will bring some of the birds in their care and do a presentation on the raptors of the Black Hills. There will also be a hands-on bird related craft at the end of the program. The program will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Downtown library at 610 Quincy Street and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the North library located inside General Beadle Elementary at 10 Van Buren Street.
Everyone who attends a program earns a punch for their story time/discovery day punch card. Once you receive ten punches you get a free book from the library and can enter a drawing for a larger prize that will be drawn in May.
