Local Artist to Present at Community Voices Program

Rapid City, S.D. – February 23, 2012 – Local artist, Timothy Vogl will present “Artists of the New York School” at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012. This presentation will take a look at the works of Gorky and de Koonig and explore their methods of working, the ideas that drove them and the events around them that impacted their lives. This event takes place at the downtown Rapid City Public Library located at 610 Quincy St.

Timothy Vogl is an artist who lives and works in Rapid City, South Dakota. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from Northern State University and Master of Arts degree in Studio Painting from Minnesota State University. His work has been shown across the country and is included in private and public collections around the United States. In addition to being a working artist, Vogl is also an adjunct instructor in the Humanities Department at He Sapa Center, Oglala Lakota College in Rapid City.
